Colegio Almirante R. Carey Brenton

In the field of education in the area around Ometepec, there is a great need for quality education. Many people that desire a good education for their children sent them to the nearest metropolis to seek high school and even junior high educations. Many of these people believe they have no choice so they allow their children to leave home in the years when their children need them most!

Having analyzed the need for better education in Ometepec and the region, the Almirante R. Carey Brenton Jr. High has been opened. Through the Carey Brenton Jr. High, Ometepec and its surrounding areas are ministered to. Many of the students are considered to be future leaders in Mexico. The ministry opportunity in education is immense. The students receive an integrated instruction and witness the wonderful examples of their teachers eight hours a day, five days a week.

The Carey Brenton Jr. High was first opened in the 2006-2007 school year. The Director, Eliel Galindo, is a Mexican lawyer of great wisdom, and comes with years of experience in administration. Barb serves as the Academic Director, choosing the curriculum and maintaining the quality of the other eight Mexican teachers that work at the school, and also teaches English. The Carey Brenton is a private school. Since there is a cost involved, parents and students value of the education that the students are receiving. The Colegio R. Carey Brenton Junior High School is an institution with an integrated, high quality education. The School advertises integrated education because its vision is to involve God in all subjects of life: God is the the creator science,the protagonist of history, the mastermind behind math, the author of Spanish and English, the key to understanding ethics, the and the ultimate ruler of government. Truth be told it is impossible to not integrate God in all subjects of life!

This years graduating class, the class of 2009, will be the first class to have attended all three years at the Carey Brenton. Please continue to pray each of the Carey Brenton students, and also for strength and wisdom for each of the teachers. Also keep in your prayers the financial situation of the school as it starts to support itself. Please especially pray for volunteer English teachers who are willing to come and teach English for a school year.
